Pumpkins define Fall.  Whether it is a carved pumpkin for Halloween or a tasty pumpkin muffin for breakfast, pumpkins surround us this time of year.  Sometimes they become so familiar that we need just a boost to remind us of how fabulous they are, so here are 6 Pumpkin Ideas For A Festive Fall.

1.  Grab & Go, Good For You, Gluten Free, Pumpkin Breakfast

I love this Gluten Free Pumpkin Muffin Mix!  It is SUPER easy to make and has very “clean” ingredients.  The mix is $8.99, but it makes 30 muffins that I pop in the freezer and pull out 3 at a time on those mornings when I am on the go (basically $1.00 per morning!).

I buy it at Whole Foods but you can also find it at simple mills.com.

For an added kick of energy, add a glass of Pumpkin Spice Green Superfood, by Amazing Greens, into your favorite beverage and sprinkle on some nutmeg.

It is the perfect:

2.  Pumpkin Salsa

I always love salsa, but it is even better in the Fall when it gets a boost with some pumpkin.  I found this at The Fresh Market but there are loads of recipes on the internet if you want to try your own.

For some added fun, throw it in a small, hollowed pumpkin for your next fall celebration (see below).

3.  Pumpkin Seeds - Here they are flavored with Pumpkin Spice Mix, Coconut Oil, and a touch of Sea Salt.

As we age and carving pumpkins becomes an activity of the past, we often forget about the fun, not to mention health benefits, of pumpkins and their seeds.

They help regulate many functions in the body by boosting the immune system, adding healthy omega 3s, regulating sleep, fighting oxidative stress, increasing good HDL cholesterol levels and more.  You can certainly buy pumpkin seeds, but if you try the pumpkin ideas below, why not try and make some on your own!

4.  Pumpkin Flower Vase

With a sharp knife, cut off the top of some small pumpkins (I use a glove for added safety), and scoop out the insides.  A serrated spoon will make this process much easier.

Add a piece of oasis, and fill with flowers.

This is such a simple idea that brings big rewards!

5.  Pumpkin Food Display

Again, cut off the top of some pumpkins and scoop out the pulp.  You can place a plastic cup to fit, or surround with tin foil, or leave plain for that matter.

And fill with your favorite dip.

6.  Pumpkin Coolers

Again the same process of cutting off the top and scooping out the insides.  I found this perfect long pumpkin but any shape will work.  Just look for a pumpkin that can sit flat - and be sure to wash off any dirt.

Line the pumpkin with tin foil to help with condensation and put in the refrigerator or freezer to keep cool until ready to use.
