Most Gracious and Loving Father,

Our lives rest in Your hands.  We can trust all things to You.  You who determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.  You who are mighty in power and whose understanding has no limit.  You who covers the sky with clouds, who supplies the earth with rain and who makes the grass grow.  We place our hope in Your unfailing love.  (Psalm 147:4-11)

We thank You that You have come to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to comfort all who mourn and to provide for those who grieve.  (Isaiah 61:1-3)  We praise You that You forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases, that You redeem our lives from the pit and crown us with love and compassion, that You satisfy our desires with good things and do not treat us as our sins deserve.  (Psalm 103:1-11)

You are the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.  You are the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.  (Revelation 22:12-16)  You beckon us to come to You and when we do, You give us the free gift of the water of life.  (Revelation 21:17)  What God is so good, but You?

Thank You that before we call You answer; while we are still speaking You hear.  (Isaiah 65:24)  Thank you that You are a God who is in all places and who has power to do all things.  We praise You that there is no place we can flee from Your presence, for if we make our bed in the depths, You are there and if we rise on the wings of the dawn Your right hand will hold us fast.  (Psalm 139:7-12)  We praise You that there is nothing You can not do, that nothing is too difficult for our God.  (Jeremiah 32:17,27)

You are our Rock, our fortress, our deliverer.  You are the God in whom we take refuge.  You are the God to whom we call in our distress, who hears our voice in His temple, and who parts the heavens to come down for us.  You arm us with strength.  You make our way perfect.  Praise be to our Rock!  (Psalm 18)  Praise be to our Father!  Praise be to our Lord!
