Day 7 - Praying For Protection & Safety

DAY 7 - PRAYING FOR PROTECTION & SAFETY

No Fear

Abba Father,

We pray that You would surround each of us with Your hand of protection to keep us safe, especially from freak accidents, evil people and harmful situations.  Give Your angels charge over us to guard us in all our ways.  (Exodus 23:20 / Psalm 91:9-13)  Grant us spiritual vision to see the covering of Your feathers, wherever we may be,  so that we may know we are infinitely protected under the wings of Your refuge.  (Psalm 91:4-7)

Put a hedge of protection and blessing around us and everything that we have.  (Job 1:10)  Keep us from all harm; watch over every aspect of our lives, over everywhere that we go.  (Psalm 121:7,8)  Keep men and women of perverse heart far from us and let us not have anything to do with evil.  (Psalm 101:4)  Do not let anyone lead us astray, especially those committed to doing the devil’s work.  (1 John 3:7-10)

Help us to clothe ourselves with Your full armor so that we can take a stand against the devil's schemes.  Help us to stand firm with the belt of truth around our waists, the breastplate of righteousness around our chest, our feet fitted with the gospel of peace, wearing the helmet of salvation on our heads, holding the shield of faith with which we can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.  (Ephesians 6:11-18)

We pray that though in this life, we may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, that we will fear no evil; for You are with us, Your rod and Your staff they comfort us.  (Psalm 23:4)  We pray that when we must pass through the waters that You will be with us and that when we pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over us and that when we walk through the fire, we will not be burned.  (Isaiah 43:2)

Thank You that You say that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8) and that there is no place we can flee from Your presence.  (Psalm 139:1-14)  May we remember that wherever we may be, on the mountaintops or in the valleys,  You know exactly where we are and You are an ever-present help in times of trouble.  (Psalm 46:1-3)
