Chi Machine - For Feeling Great

I am so excited to share with you today one of my absolute favorite health gadgets!

One of my friends shared this gadget with me years ago and I fell in love with it!   I now use it daily (as a part of my Miracle Morning Routine) to boost my energy, to lower my stress levels, and to have an overall sense of feeling great!  Watch the video to see how it works and below I will share a little bit more information.

Benefits of Using The Chi Machine

Our stressed out society has caused us to be shallow, short, chest breathers, and that is no good because when we become shallow, short, chest breathers, we lower our oxygen levels.  Lower oxygen levels result in problems in the body like:  fatigue, pain, and poor digestion, not to mention chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.

The Chi Machine is a passive way to increase the oxygen in our bodies and has been shown to benefit the body in these ways:

*More Energy

*Strengthens The Immune System

*Improves Digestion

*Increases Detoxification

*Improves Quality of Sleep

*Lowers Blood Pressure

*Reduces Edema In The Legs

*Promotes Cell Repair

*Calms The Nervous System

*Relieves Muscle & Back Pain

To use the Chi Machine:

1.  Lay on the floor with your ankles in the slots (if it hurts - as your feet will flop around a bit! - just add some padding like a folded hand towel).

2.  Turn the machine on and set the speed and the timer.  It is best to start with just a few minutes and increase to a time that feels comfortable.  I now go for 20 minutes every morning.  There are also different speeds.  I prefer the middle and lower speeds depending on how I am feeling, and never use the high speed but it is available so obviously some prefer faster.

3.  You can rest your hands by your side (Goldfish Position - said to be good for releasing tension, relaxation, insomnia, constipation, lower back pain), clasped behind your head (Mid Position - said to be good for the spinal column as it will impart a stronger motion.  Also good for migraines, headaches, misaligned spine, backache and arthritis), or arms facing up stretched out above your head (Stretched Back Position - said to relieve muscular pain, shoulder tendonitis, release of nervous pressure and upper back tension).

4.  I personally use a blanket tucked under me to reduce irritation and because it feels good, but you don’t have to.

5.  Once the timer is set, shut your eyes, and simply relax.  The machine will turn off automatically when the time is completed.  BUT when it is completed, do not get up right away, this is the best part.  When the cycle is completed, you will feel an energy rush move throughout your body.  This is a part of the therapeutic effects so don’t skip it!

The majority of people between the ages of 4 - 100 may safely use the Chi Machine and once daily is normal, as the effects will be cumulative. However some use it 2 or 3 times daily.  There are many people who like to use theirs before bed to help them sleep.  Personally it energizes me too much right before bed, but I have found it to be a great pick me up in the late afternoon.  Try what works best for you.  And, be sure to drink water afterwards as it will aid the process of detoxification that has taken place.  Do not use the machine within 1 hour of eating a meal.

People who should NOT use the Chi Machine:

*Within three months of post surgery or bone fracture

*If suffering from open wounds or infection

*Pregnant Women

*Those who suffer from epilepsy

*If you have serious heart disease

Which Chi Machine To Buy:

There are numerous manufacturers of Chi Machines available online which range in price from $500, which is the original trademarked and FDA approved Chi Machine by Sun Ancon, t0 cheaper models under $100, and everywhere in between depending on the different bells and whistles.  I purchased the one that I use on Amazon for around $70 (which has been a great per value purchase!).  The one I use allows me to adjust the speed of the machine as sometimes I have great energy and can go faster while other times I need to go slow.  When choosing, compare the options available and go with the one that best suits your needs.

I hope I have sparked a curiosity to try a Chi Machine!  At my home I keep an extra one for those who might want to give it a spin.  If you have any interest, and are in the Atlanta area, you can send me an email from the right hand column and set up a time to borrow it for a day or two.  Here’s to our health!
