A World Of Paper Circles

Happy Birthday My Sunshine Room Main

I started this week thinking of the Big Celebration (for me at least!) of the one year birthday/anniversary of My Sunshine Room.  Wanting to post something special, I asked my mother for suggestions and she stated that One Year Anniversaries are often represented by PAPER.

What better way to celebrate (again for me at least!) than with something fun centered around PAPER - so many gorgeous, colorful, joyful, papers and so many ways to use them!!

After reigning myself in (a lot!), I decided to share the easiest of ways to make a CELEBRATION super special, all centered around PAPER CIRCLES.

All you need is Paper + Circle Cutters.

Circles can be cut by tracing on paper and cutting out with scissors OR you can make a small investment in some circle cutters so when your next party rolls around you are ready to knock them out!

Circle Cutters

There are circle punches in several sizes for making a lot of circles fast.  There are also circle cutters which make large size circles to suit your varying needs.  For extra flair, use scalloped circle punches to layer the circles.  Martha Stewart, Fiskar and EK Success are a few popular choice brands of cutters.  They all cost under $20 and are excellent items to add to your "Party Prepping Tool Kit" - if you don’t have one of those yet, start here with these!

Ideas to CELEBRATE in a World Of Paper Circles:

Gift Tags:

Simply print a greeting on a piece of paper.  Cut it into a circle using the circle cutters and glue on top of another circle, even better a scalloped circle.  So simple, yet you will receive great praise rewards!  If you don’t want to create your own tag, you can also find Free Printables online for all  occasions (think:  teacher gifts, Mother’s Day, graduation, thank you, etc.).

Confetti:

This is so easy and so much fun, and really throws a wow factor to the simplest of tables.  According to the papers you choose, paper confetti can make a table sophisticated or crazy.  You can color coordinate with your event and can use a wide scope of sizes, colors and patterns.  Just punch and scatter!

Paper Garlands:

For paper garlands, all you need to do is cut out the circles and stitch together (fastest) or glue (if you don’t have or want to use a sewing machine) the paper circles to a string.  You can use the garlands as backdrops, in door frames, on mantels, from the ceiling, on a table, or even on some branches.  The string makes the garlands light and airy, as well as very easy to hang.
